The Virus Technology
VIRUS boards are constructed from high-tech materials combined with proven materials, such as solid wood cores produced in-house. The wooden core of each VIRUS board is meticulously crafted by hand and reinforced with two to three carbon inserts, depending on the model. These inserts are made of pure, continuously processed carbon. The wooden core is glued into the finished camber of the board in a separate manufacturing process. This is unique and extremely labor-intensive in production. For this, our boards have a camber that lasts and lasts and lasts... and we guarantee it!
All VIRUS boards are produced using sandwich technology, even though this is the most expensive production technology. The exceptionally thick, double-sintered base, of the highest quality, is machined with a computer-controlled stone grinding machine to guarantee the precision and performance that World Cup riders also demand for top-quality equipment. Extra-wide steel edges allow for multiple reworking, ensuring a longer lifespan for the board. The sidecuts consist of up to eight different radii, allowing each VIRUS model to handle both tight and wide turns - the board securely holds its line!
