The VIRUS Avalanche AFT (advanced freeride technology) is one of the most futuristic freeride boards on the market! Based on physically based shape technology in combination with 30 years of experience in manufacturing and engineering of snowboards and skis, we wanted to develop a board which combines perfect float and performance in powder and perfect carving abilities. The rocker nose and tail part work perfectly together with the extended edge length when it comes to carving. So the board is still very easy to maneuver when you have narrow slopes or steep parts.

The 2026/2027 generation of soft boot carving and free-ride board is based on a brand-new production and construction technology with extended width and optimized sidecut.. We from Virus are proud to produce world’s first soft boot snowboards, with the worlds strongest artificial fiber- Zylon. The scientist took the strength of spider web, the strongest natural fiber into a technical fiber. This fiber has unbelievable technical characteristics. Try it out and you will feel the advantage. The extremely high price of that fibre is worth every penny when it leads into performance.
Our newest product allows us to produce soft boot carving boards with extreme edge-grip keeping the flex soft for perfect float in powder snow. These fibers are used with spread tow technology which allows to produce very thin layers with extreme strength.
The acceleration of these boards is outstanding. Flying from turn to turn and carving the iciest slope becomes quite easy.
All these boards have our self-engineered elektron race base. Superfast and extremely durable. Glide where others already push!
